Bears sign receiver Victor Cruz to a one-year contract.

The Bears’ continued attempts to energize a reshuffling offense continued Thursday when the team agreed to a one-year contract with veteran receiver Victor Cruz.

The signing comes as the team continues through its three-week stretch of organized team activities in Lake Forest. Cruz’s arrival comes after the 30-year-old receiver spent his first seven seasons with the Giants. From 2011-13, Cruz averaged 80 catches, 1,209 yards and eight touchdowns per season.

But he was then slowed significantly by injuries, missing a total of 26 games over the next two seasons.
